Maria-Teresa Duvall is the Founding Principal of DC Prep’s newest Anacostia Elementary Campus, which opened in the 2015-16 school year. She joined DC Prep in 2009 as a member of Teach For America’s Metro DC early childhood cohort. She spent six years at BEC, where she taught preschool and 2nd Grade, in addition to having served as the Math and Science/Social Studies Coordinator and Assistant Principal of Academics. She holds a BS from Pennsylvania State University and an MEd in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education from George Mason University.
Terica Alleyne joined DC Prep in 2007 as a Founding member of the Edgewood Elementary Campus. An Early Childhood Support Coordinator at the Edgewood Elementary Campus through SY14-15, Terica serves as the Founding Early Childhood Assistant Principal at DC Prep's newest Anacostia Elementary Campus. Prior to DC Prep, she taught inclusion 1st grade and has also taught in Queens, NY. Terica holds a BA from Syracuse University, an MEd from St. John’s University, and an MSA from Trinity University.
Samantha Granville joined DC Prep in 2010 as a Resident Teacher after completing a degree in Psychology with a minor in Linguistics. A teacher at the Benning Elementary Campus through SY14-15, Samantha serves as the Founding Early Childhood Instructional Coordinator at DC Prep's newest Anacostia Elementary Campus. While pursuing her undergraduate degree, she served as a Jumpstart corps member at Rosemount Center in DC and volunteered as an ESL tutor. Samantha has a BA from Georgetown University and an MAT in Early Childhood Education from American University.
Colleen Dierlinger joined DC Prep in 2015 as a Preschool Teacher. Before joining DC Prep, she served as a Kindergarten teacher as a Capital Teaching Resident at KIPP: DC. Colleen received a BA from the University of Pittsburgh.
Thomas Jager joined DC Prep in 2015. Previously, he was a 1st grade teacher as a Capital Teaching Resident at KIPP: DC. Thomas also has prior experience serving as a police officer for ten years in Colorado. Thomas earned a BA from Columbia University.
Danielle Jospeh joined DC Prep in 2014, where she served as a Preschool Teacher at the Benning Elementary Campus. Prior to DC Prep, she was a Capital Teaching Resident and founding prekindergarten teacher at KIPP DC. Danielle holds a BA from the College of William and Mary.
DaVaughn Montgomery joined DC Prep in 2015. Previously, he was a 1st grade teacher and started his teaching career through the Capital Teaching Residency program. DaVaughn holds a BA from Oberlin College.
Kelly Muller joined DC Prep in 2015. Prior to joining DC Prep, she was a 1st grade teacher at Success Academy and was a 2012 Teach For America corps member. Kelly earned a BS from West Virginia University.
Victoria Thomas joined DC Prep in 2012, where she served as a Prekindergarten Teacher at the Edgewood Elementary Campus. Before coming to DC Prep, Victoria was a Kindergarten teacher through the Urban Teacher Center at a DC charter school. She has a BA from Franklin & Marshall College.
James Thomas joined DC Prep in 2015. Previously, he served as the Athletic Director and Physical Educator at Mary McLeod Bethune Day Academy PCS. James earned a BS from Hampton University and a Masters degree from Strayer University.
Rhonda Henderson joined DC Prep in 2012. Currently, she serves as the Operations Manager at DC Prep's newest Anacostia Elementary Campus. Prior to that, Rhonda was the Early Childhood Support Coordinator at Benning Elementary Campus, where she worked with the Early Childhood team to support teachers and students. Rhonda has prior experience as a research consultant, Director of Kaplan Test Prep’s Premier Private Tutoring Program, and a Professional Development Manager for TNTP. She also taught for three years at Friendship-Collegiate Academy PCS. Rhonda holds a BA from Columbia University, an MEd from Harvard University, and an MBA from the University of Virginia.
Jamel Henderson joined DC Prep in 2014. Currently, he serves as the Operations Assistant at DC Prep's newest Anacostia Elementary Campus. Prior to that, Jamel was the Prep EX! Program Leader at Benning Elementary Campus. Jamel has prior experience as an Afterschool Director for Playcenters, Inc. in Parkville, MD, Dean of Students for Pan American Academy Charter School in Philadelphia, and an Operations Manager for Akili Academy of New Orleans in New Orleans, LA. Jamel holds a BA in Fashion Marketing from the Art Institute of Philadelphia, and an AA in Business from the Community College of Philadelphia.
Monique Peters-Moore joined DC Prep in 2010. She first worked as an Extended Learning Instructor and an Assistant Coordinator of Prep EX! as well as an Operations Assistant at Edgewood Elementary Campus. Before she joined DC Prep, Monique worked at the Howard University Hospital Child Development Center as a teacher’s assistant, floater, and professional caregiver. Monique holds a BS in Psychology from the University of the District of Columbia.
